Colorado GOP Announces Newly Elected Leadership and Calls for Unity Across the State

Denver, CO — The Colorado Republican Party is proud to announce the election of its new leadership team: Brita Horn as Chair, D. Lee Phelan Sr. as Vice Chair, and Russ Andrews as Secretary.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these principled and dedicated leaders as they begin their service with a shared vision to lead the Colorado GOP into a new era of strength, unity, and victory.

As we look toward the future, the Party is calling on Republican leaders, members, and grassroots supporters across Colorado to come together in common purpose. The tireless work and dedication shown by counties during the 2024 election cycle laid a strong foundation—now is the time to reenergize, reinvigorate, and refocus.

This is a pivotal moment—a time to move from division to unity, from disorganization to collaboration, and from fragmentation to a family of committed citizens. Together, we will rally around a clear, consistent platform that reflects our shared values and speaks to the hearts of Coloradans across the state.

While respectful differences in ideas and strategies may remain, we are united in one vital belief: winning is essential—not just for our Party, but for the future of our communities, our state, and our nation.

To my friends and family in Las Animas County—you’re not losing a Chair. You're gaining a friend in the Colorado GOP who will listen, lead, and work tirelessly to grow our Party—not just in our county, but across the great state of Colorado.

I stand ready to support and guide the Las Animas County Committee in every way I can. I will always cherish my time as County Chair, because it was there I witnessed both the challenges and the resilience of true grassroots leadership. It was there I came to fully understand the need for reform and restoration in a Party that belongs to the people.

The Colorado GOP will once again be the people's house.

Of the 942,766 Republican voters in Colorado, I believe in our potential—and together, we will make Colorado great again.
